Job Role & Responsibilities
As a Junior Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for:
Performing nucleic acid (DNA/RNA) extraction from biological samples such as blood, tissue, and swabs
Conducting quality checks using spectrophotometry, fluorometry, and gel electrophoresis
Preparing NGS libraries from multiple sample types
Executing and monitoring sequencing runs following standard protocols
Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment
Ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal of samples and chemicals
Supporting the Lab Manager in method development and validation
Participating in lab accreditation processes (NABL, EIAC)
Utilizing bioinformatics tools for data analysis and reporting
Collaborating with cross-functional teams while managing multiple projects simultaneously
Eligibility / Qualifications
Education & Experience:
BSc, MSc, B.Tech, or M.Tech in Biotechnology or Genetics
Minimum 1 year of experience in molecular biology or clinical laboratory settings
Required Skills:
Hands-on experience with DNA/RNA extraction, NGS, and molecular biology techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Preferred Skills:
DHA license (preferred)
Experience in NGS library preparation
Previous experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries
Familiarity with laboratory accreditation standards such as NABL and EIAC
