The ideal candidate will be a versatile, self-driven, team-player who enjoys context-switching across high-profile initiatives, and is uniquely motivated by Roblox\u2019s mission of connecting a billion people with optimism and civility. From serving as an external representative of Roblox with state and local law enforcement agencies, to collaborating cross-functionally with our Legal &amp; Advocacy, Civility, Safety, Product, and Communications teams (among others), you will have a diverse set of responsibilities in furtherance of assisting law enforcement, educating external stakeholders such as parents and educators on digital safety, and ultimately helping keep users safe on Roblox.<\/p>\n<p>This position is remotely based in Kansas and will report to the Senior Manager of US Public Policy.<\/p>\n<p>Please note: This role requires On-Call support during weekends and holidays, and is expected to include frequent travel. The scope may also require reviewing graphic, controversial, and offensive content in accordance with Roblox\u2019s handling policies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You Will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and advance strategic law enforcement relationships with special focus on law enforcement in the State of Kansas, and Midwestern region, while assisting with global outreach as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with federal, state, and local law enforcement, including with the Kansas Attorney General\u2019s Office<\/li>\n<li>Plan and execute educational programs for law enforcement agencies and other key external stakeholders (i.e. parent groups and educators) regarding Roblox\u2019s platform safety efforts, including our law enforcement response policies and NCMEC CyberTip initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Proactively identify, monitor, analyze, and internally advise on law enforcement developments affecting Roblox in the State of Kansas and Midwestern region.<\/li>\n<li>Seek to understand and empathetically respond to regional law enforcement concerns, while helping internally codify and scale resultant learnings.<\/li>\n<li>Listen to and understand the concerns of Kansas parents, caregivers, and educators regarding the safety of Roblox. You will provide guidance and education that empower these audiences and build confidence in Roblox\u2019s emphasis on product and policy safety, which keeps users safe and healthy.<\/li>\n<li>Forge a deep subject-matter expertise of Roblox\u2019s internal and external safety practices, so as to identify, advocate for, and help implement strategic safety enhancements.<\/li>\n<li>Draft professional work product \u2013 for both internal and external audiences \u2013 supported by clear, concise, and multi-sourced platform safety investigations.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate and build strong internal relationships across our Legal &amp; Advocacy, Safety, Product, and Communications teams (among others) to help address law enforcement emergencies, platform safety escalations, and comprehensive Roblox undertakings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You Have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10+ years of work experience in law enforcement, intelligence, government, trust and safety, or an adjacent field.<\/li>\n<li>Detailed knowledge of the law enforcement community and related policymakers in the State of Kansas, and Midwestern region, along with current trends and challenges in online safety and policy (particularly child safety and regional-specific considerations).<\/li>\n<li>Enthusiasm for and a demonstrated track record of stellar public speaking, short-notice travel, building and maintaining constructive relationships, defining your own work processes, and adding organizational value no matter how small or large the task.<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Agility to navigate ambiguity, resilience to overcome obstacles, and the internal drive to concurrently manage multiple high-profile, time-sensitive initiatives in a dynamic environment.<\/li>\n<li>Unwavering integrity, collegiality, and grit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"content-conclusion\">\n<p>Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).<\/p>\n<p>Roblox provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
